These vintage dangling earrings are crafted in 18-karat gold and formed as elongated, gently twisting leaves, reminiscent of tulip petals in motion. Each earring tapers from a small rounded bud at the stud—set close to the earlobe—into a sculptural leaf shape that widens and narrows again toward the tip. The surface is richly textured, with fine organic striations and small bead-like accents that catch the light and give depth to the form.

They are fitted with stud posts; the back studs are later replacements but made in 18-karat gold and well matched in tone. Worn, the earrings move softly and frame the face with warmth and fluidity. The design reflects Etsuko’s remarkable sensitivity to natural forms, transforming botanical inspiration into gold with exceptional balance and grace.

Did you know that Etsuko Minowa, born in Japan in 1952, moved to Sweden in 1973 after an inspiring encounter with designer Sigurd Persson? She initially worked at Stigberts Ateljé for Engelbert before opening her own studio in Gamla Stan, establishing herself as a skilled designer and goldsmith.
