A striking vintage neckring in silver with a detachable silver and pyrite pendant. The neckring has a clean, sculptural line, curving closely around the neck with an open back and softly raised shoulders that sit neatly behind the neck. Toward the front, the silver becomes flatter, giving the piece a sharper, more defined look.
Suspended at the centre is a substantial oval pendant, set in a deep silver mount and held by a long, straight bar. The pyrite has a rough, natural surface with bright metallic lustre and a mix of granular sparkle and larger crystal forms.
Strong and graphic, yet easy to wear, this is a piece that does all the work for you — perfect when you want one jewel to carry the whole look.
Karlheinz Sauer was born in Pforzheim, Germany, and trained at the city’s renowned jewellery schools, where a strong focus on precision and craftsmanship shaped his work from an early age. After moving to Sweden in the mid-1960s, he established his own workshop and gallery in Västerås, where he worked for four decades before settling on Öland.
