A vintage necklace in 18 karat gold set with sculpted pieces of banded agate. The elongated agate elements have a subtle waisted form, gently narrowing towards the centre before widening softly towards each end. Natural bands of grey, white, black and warm brown give every stone its own distinct character, while two of the agates on one side are accented by a polished gold detail at their centre, adding an unexpected variation to the design.
Delicate round gold links connect the agate elements, creating an elegant rhythm and a graceful balance between polished gold and natural stone. The necklace closes with a rectangular box clasp.
Light and refined on the neck, it has an unusual balance between the warmth of the gold and the cooler, graphic pattern of the agate. Equally suited to a crisp shirt or summer linen, it has a quiet presence that never goes unnoticed.
