This vintage ring is crafted in 18 karat gold and set with a rectangular, step-cut amethyst. The stone shows a clear violet tone, shifting from soft lavender to deeper purple depending on the light, with crisp facets that give it depth and structure.
The amethyst is held within a geometric, slightly elevated head, with clean, angular lines that frame the stone and lift it above the finger. On each side, five small diamonds are set in a vertical row, adding a fine line of light and contrast without taking focus from the center stone. The shank is slim and gently tapered, keeping the overall expression balanced.
Worn, it sits with presence but not weight—structured, composed, and equally at ease with both everyday wear and more dressed moments.
Heribert Engelbert founded his jewelry company in 1920. During the 1940s, his son, Stig Engelbert, took over the business, and by the late 1940s, he established Ateljé Stigbert.
