These vintage earrings are crafted in 18k gold, silver and pearls, with a lively, almost musical construction. Each earring hangs from a silver hook, followed by a small silver leaf-shaped detail set against a softly curved gold top. From the lower edge fall three slim gold spires, each ending in a small pearl.
The mix of warm gold, cool silver and soft pearl gives them character without feeling heavy. They move gently when worn, catching the light in small flashes rather than one bold shine. Elegant, playful and a little bohemian — beautiful with summer skin, but just as good with a simple black dress when you want something with charm, movement and personality.
Suzanne Färnert (1952-) is one of Sweden's foremost goldsmiths and jewelry artists. She is represented at the National Museum and has held numerous exhibitions both in Sweden and abroad. Today she runs a combined shop and workshop in Uppsala, Sweden, which she opened around 40 years ago.
