This silver and gilded silver neck ring features a bold, sculptural design with a dynamic, asymmetrical shape that elegantly curves around the neck and rests fluidly on the collarbone. The wide, flat front section tapers into a sleek, polished band, creating a striking visual balance. The closure is a prominent, well-crafted hook that fastens securely into a loop, combining function with aesthetic appeal. This large hook detail, which has been and remains something of a signature element of Högberg's design from this workshop, adds a refined and stylish accent to the piece, enhancing its modern yet timeless character.
The neck ring's smooth, reflective surface and sculptural form make it a statement accessory that complements both minimalist and sophisticated looks.
The brothers Sven-Erik and Anders Högberg opened their silversmith workshop in Gothenburg in the 1950s, gaining recognition for their craftsmanship and timeless designs. Anette and Marie, their devoted apprentices, later became their successors and guardians of the Högberg legacy. Following the brothers' passing in the late 1990s, Anette and Marie took over the workshop, continuing its tradition of fine silver artistry with a modern touch and jewelry featuring pierced patterns and finely woven silver threads that convey an impression of delicate lightness while being grounded in a solid architectural form.
