This vintage ring from 1971 by Ateljé Stigbert is crafted in 18 karat gold and set with a mabe pearl and an amethyst. The ring has a gently rounded shank with softly defined longitudinal lines running along both sides, giving structure and subtle rhythm to the gold. Toward the top, the shank rises and divides into a sculptural setting that cradles the two stones.
The mabe pearl is domed and luminous, with a soft white glow and smooth surface, while the amethyst sits beside it in a rounded cabochon, its colour a deep, calm violet. The stones are placed close together, separated by small polished gold spheres, creating a quiet dialogue between light and colour. Solid yet elegant, the ring feels balanced and confident on the hand, with a refined sculptural presence.
Heribert Engelbert founded his jewelry company in 1920. During the 1940s, his son, Stig Engelbert, took over the business, and by the late 1940s, he established Ateljé Stigbert. With a passion for crafting unique designs, they quickly gained a reputation for their exquisite handmade jewelry. Over the years, Ateljé Stigbert has continued to thrive, captivating customers with timeless and elegant creations.
