These vintage silver earrings are built around movement, balance and sculptural form. Suspended from a silver bar hangs a sculptural pendant formed from curved silver bands that gradually decrease in size towards the base, creating a bold rounded shape with an almost kinetic feel. The polished silver catches the light from different angles as the earrings move, giving the construction a lively expression without feeling heavy.
The ear construction is formed as an open curved wire that follows the contour of the ear and ends in polished silver spheres, creating a clean architectural line. The wire can be gently adjusted for the wearer.
old, sculptural and impossible to ignore, they move with the wearer and catch the eye from every angle. The kind of earrings worn when blending in is not the plan — expressive, original, and full of personality.
Sigurd Persson's works are represented in several museums around the world, for example, the Museum of Modern Art in New York (MoMA), the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Sigurd Persson also did several exhibitions at NK (the important Swedish department store on Hamngatan in Stockholm). In one of these exhibitions, "Ear jewelry" that was held in 1964, he showed jewelry just meant for ears and these earrings were part of it.
