This silver and pearl earring is not an earring but a piece of art.
Sigurd Persson was one of Swedens absolute best Modernist designers and smiths of the 20th century. He designed jewelry that was totally different from anything else seen before.
Sigurd Persson did several exhibitions at NK (the important Swedish department store on Hamngatan in Stockholm). In one of these exhibitions, "Ear jewelry" that was held in 1964, he showed jewelry just meant for ears and this earring was part of it. It was never meant to be two of these. His idea was that you should wear a single ear ring and that was enough. Especially since this one is meant to be worn in a very different way than the way you are used to wear earrings.
The design and feeling is different to everything.
